Appearance: Distinctive, numerous, and sharp, spike-like spines on the body.
Size: Generally small, suitable for aquarium setups.
Temperature: Prefer warmer tropical waters compared to other seahorse species.
Habitat/Behavior: Found in seagrass beds, mangrove areas, and coral reefs. They are relatively sedentary and prefer to cling to branching corals.
Aquarium Care: Highly recommended for reef tanks (LPS/SPS corals). They are delicate and require specialized care, often preferring captive-bred individuals over wild-caught, which have a low survival rate.
